Bauer Supreme 1S Hockey Skate

The Supreme line is back with the Bauer Supreme 1S hockey skates and ready to make your stride more explosive than ever! Featuring a slew of new technology and returning favorites from their predecessors the MX3. Returning technology includes the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge Holder, the Injection Stability Lacing System, Comfort Edges, and the 3-D Manufacturing Process. Bauer's decision to consolidate their technology and provide their full array of features to every skate they make resulted in some huge improvements to the Supreme 1S, including Bauer's Speedplate Insoles, Aluminized Curv Composite, LS4 Steel, and 37.5 Liner.

Outsole

Those who skated in the MX3's will recognize the Curv Composite boot and the unreal stiffness it offers. Its return comes in a slightly modified form, as the Curv Composite is now aluminized during the production process. The infusion of aluminum in the Supreme 1S results in an even lighter frame than before without compromising durability, performance, or responsiveness. Bauer's Injected Lacing System also got a facelift for the Supreme 1S, getting tweaked to increase forward flex and stability.

Holder and Runners

The return of Tuuk's Lightspeed Edge Holder will be a familiar friend for many, but a marked improvement for those who aren't accustomed to the extra 3mm of height and the improved angle of attack that it offers. Slotted into the Tuuks is Bauer's LS4 Steel, which will be a welcome improvement at the rink and the pro shop. The upgraded quality of the polished stainless steel and taller profile come together to provide a longer lasting edge life, are less prone to breakage, and offer a further improved angle of attack.

Interior

Perhaps the most improved area of the Skate, the Supreme 1S has come remarkably far in the span of a year. The most notable improvement to the guts of the Supreme 1S is the inclusion of Bauer's Speedplate insole. In the past, insoles haven't been anything to write home about, but that changed big time when the Speedplate came into play. The insole is built with recovery alloys which allow it to mold along with the outsole during the bake and fitting process, providing one of the most customized fits available. In the liner of the skate, you will find Bauer's proprietary moisture management system and 37.5 Fabric technology, where vented gussets in the body of the skate, and 37.5 materials come together to help the 1S dry as fast as possible. Finally, the recent innovation of C-Flex technology was added to Bauers Form-Fit Lite 52oz/40oz tongue and tendon guard, and its presence is palpable. By manufacturing slots in their tongue and tendon guards, Bauer was able to develop composite inserts with three varying degrees of flexibility. In doing so, players are able to customize the range of motion their skates provide and get an even further customized experience.

The Bauer Supreme 1S Youth Ice Hockey Skate will feature some similar designs to the junior and senior versions but slightly tweaked to better suit a youth hockey player. The boot itself will feature a more flexible construction to allow youth to skaters more movement and balance when they are young. The Bauer Supreme 1S youth skate also features more traditional eyelets, tongue, and tendon guard. Finally, the Bauer Supreme 1S youth skates feature the Lightspeed Pro II holder with LS1 steel (the steel inside the Lightspeed Pro II holder is not removable)
